Founder? I Hardly Know 'er!

In 2022, alongside a small team of local talent, I founded Mountain Town Sounds, a "nonprofit" music organization to support the singer-songwriter and music community in Flagstaff. We pioneered the "FLG Listening Room" in support of acoustic acts that have difficulty in the usual crowded bar scene, hosted "Singer-Songwriters Socials" to rejuvenate the local coffee shop music scene, and also sold out multiple downtown venues for our 2023 Flagstaff Femme Fest. 

Since MTS started promoting events, we've seen an interest across town with venues crafting their own singer-songwriter focused events and individuals starting their own songwriting clubs and workshops. I believe we were largely responsible for refocusing Flagstaff's musical focus and are proud to be a part of the growing music and art movements in Flagstaff -- and for the opportunities we've provided not only to musicians but young, talented photographers, videographers, event planners, and graphic designers, as well.
